um I’m currently reading the Power of One by Bryce Courtenay. It’s about an English boy growing up in south africa during WWII and having to find himself while being bullied and fighting against his mothers new born-again religion. It sounds kinda lame, but it’s one of the most amazing books ever. I’m also re-reading Wildwood Dancing, as well as Cybele’s Secret, both by Juliet Marillier. They’re companion books, but if you read them, do Wildwood first. They are absolutely incredible fantasy novels that are so real, and the writing is stunning. You know those books that have a great story-line but the writing pulls it down a bit? These are NOT like that at all. The writing is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen, and that’s coming from someone who’s been reading since I was 2.
